Rocket Lawyer Asks $125 a Year. Utah Asks $17 to Move the Appointment Somewhere Cheaper.
Pay one annual fee — $99 — for registered agent representation in Utah. The address goes on your filings, legal mail gets scanned same-day, and we remind you before state deadlines.
Standard disclosure, made early rather than in a footnote: UT Registered Agent.org competes with Rocket Lawyer for this exact service, charges $99 a year for it, and earns nothing unless someone switches. Rocket Lawyer's prices are quoted from Rocket Lawyer's published pages, reviewed in July 2026.
One Price, Every Tier
Rocket Lawyer sets registered agent service at $125 per year and holds that figure across all of its membership levels. There is no introductory rate that lapses, no premium tier where the agent line quietly reprices, and no discount you have to remember to cancel.
That spares you an exercise most of this market forces on buyers: comparing plans to work out which one hides the real number. Rocket Lawyer deserves the credit and gets it here.
The Question Is Whether You Need the Rest of It
What Rocket Lawyer sells is a legal subscription. Document templates, contract libraries, attorney consultations, and the registered agent duty bundled in beside them. Priced as a package, $125 is reasonable if you consume the package.
So run the honest test. Count how many times in the last twelve months you opened a template library or booked a consultation through a platform you were already paying for. If the answer is several, this is a fair deal and you should keep it. If the answer is none, you are buying a subscription in order to receive mail, and Utah never asked for a subscription. It asked for a street address inside the state with somebody reachable behind it.
$125, Converted Into Utah Fees
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereUtah runs an inexpensive registry, which makes vendor pricing easy to convert. Six annual renewals for a Utah LLC come to $108. Add the $17 the Division charges to change the registered agent on your record and the total is $125 exactly.
One year of Rocket Lawyer's agent service equals six years of Utah keeping your company on file, plus the filing that moves your appointment to a different provider. That is the entire state-side cost of a company's first six years, matched by twelve months of one line item on a legal platform.
What We Do for $99
Our Utah street address stands on your public filings instead of your home or office address. Anything served on the company is scanned before that day ends and reaches you through the portal with an alert on it. Division correspondence moves the same way. Renewal reminders arrive while the filing window is open, ahead of the last day of your anniversary month. The renewal price is $99 again, with no tier above it, because we never built one.
Ours is not the smallest yearly figure published in this category. BetterLegal's $90 holds that spot, and saying so costs us nothing except an overstatement we did not want to make.
Rocket Lawyer to Us: the Utah Paperwork
A single change filing with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code updates your agent, at $17 non-refundable, waived if you submit it alongside your annual renewal, with the full field-by-field sequence set out on our change of agent page.
The only warning worth adding is about timing. Cancelling the Rocket Lawyer membership does not remove Rocket Lawyer from your Utah record, and until a change filing posts, they remain your official point of contact whether or not anyone there is still watching for your mail. Appoint us, file, confirm the record, and cancel last. That order costs a few overlapping days. The reverse order costs whatever arrives during the gap.
The Short Version
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereA platform you use is worth paying for. A platform you do not use is $26 a year above our rate for a service Utah defines identically for both of us. Decide on usage, not on the logo, and the choice makes itself.
